On the plus side, this is a nice sturdy lighter that's ideal for a RIGHT-HANDED pipe smoker. It's fairly thrifty on fuel. The gadgets are handy. But the negative -- It eats flint like crazy! The striker/fuel control is stiff, binding often and without a good deal of up-force, it isn't going to spark. I could have purchased 2 Zippo ambidextrous pipe lighters for what this costs. It was good for the warranty period. That averages out to a cheap throwaway lighter a day.

does the flame stay lit once ignited? so i dont have to hold?

@christy yes, once ignited, you can use this lighter hands-free. To stop the flame, just close the cap.
